Tyler Shane Bonner

October 20, 1974 — December 5, 2022

On December 5, 2022, our much beloved Tyler Shane Bonner went home to be with our Heavenly Father.

Tyler was born October 20, 1974, to Wayne and Shirley (Smith) Bonner in Heber City, UT. He was the last of 7 children and benefited from these siblings that came before, each raising him in their own way.

He spent his early years as a member of the ‘Midway Mafia’ with friends Lynn and Brandon Mason, his brother Travis, and other cousins and childhood friends. They were mischievous without causing any real harm…that we know of.

He had a crazy innate gift to tear apart & fix just about anything, despite losing his dad’s tools in the field. But trucks were his thing. He started driving to school in about the fourth grade and spent the rest of his life fixing others’ mistakes having learned the hard way! He even painted his first truck in the Quonset hut there on Midway Main Street.

High School was such an important time in his life. It was not because of the academics or the sports or any other extracurricular activity. Rather it was the time when he met the people that became his dearest, lifelong friends. Most were older, but that didn’t matter. Some have gone on before and some are still here, but they are each other’s favorite memories.

June 15, 1996, was a day that turned his world around. That is the day that Tyler met Jodie Larsen. Not only was it love at first sight; it was a love for the ages. A short time later, they added Ryker to share their ever-growing love. They spent the next 26 years traveling, taking loops, camping and making every day count.

Though Ryker was his only son, Tyler spent the last 10 years helping all Ryker’s friends grow up to be mature, responsible men. He instilled in them his strong work ethic and love for classic cars.

Tyler was the kind of person whose first reaction to any scenario was love & laughter and he was quick to forgive and look past others’ short comings. He brought us so much Joy; we loved him well and will miss him beyond measure.

He is preceded in death by brother-in-law Jaxson Allred, Jeff Brisk, nephew Chance Bonner, and niece Shantelle Bonner-Flynn.

He is survived by his loving wife Jodie, son Ryker, Parents Wayne & Shirley Bonner, Mother and Father-in-law Jesse & Lorena Larsen, Sisters Bonnie(Mac) Matheson, Brenda Bonner, Becky Bonner, Trish Bonner, Amanda(Jonathan)McCabe, and Sarah Larsen; Brothers Barn(Monica) Bonner and Travis(Diane) Bonner; and numerous Aunts, Uncles, Nieces, Nephews, Cousins and Special Sidekicks.
