Thomas Bert Giles, age 91, passed away peacefully in his home on Christmas Day, 2022 with his daughter Georgia by his side. He was surely greeted on the other side by his sweetheart Donna. He’s survived by his brother Steve (Joan), daughter Georgia (Boyd), son Steve (Sue), eight grandchildren, and 22 great-grandchildren.
Bert’s greatest joys included his family, membership in The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints, and watching his favorite sports teams. He was a lifelong fan of the Utah Jazz, BYU Cougars, Monticello Buckaroos, and the Wasatch Wasps.
He was a proud Army veteran and was able to retire from the Utah Highway Patrol, where he spent his 20 years of service in Monticello, Utah. Bert and Donna raised their family in Monticello, where they built many lasting friendships.
Bert and Donna also served two missions together in Chicago, Illinois and in London, England as temple workers. They loved serving in the temple together, and Bert served several years as a Sealer in the London and Provo Temples.
He will be greatly missed by all who knew him!
