Tamara Hone Wall passed away on September 14, 2023 unexpectedly at the Heber hospital after suffering complications from a fractured ankle. She was born July 21, 1967 in Provo, UT to R. Dean Hone and Julia Ney Hone.
Her early years were spent in Spanish Fork, UT where she attended elementary and junior high school in the Nebo School District. She graduated from Spanish Fork High School in 1985 where she made long lasting friendships and participated in drill team, drama, choir.
Married her high school sweetheart, Blaine Simons, in 1987, later divorced. From this union a daughter, McKaylie Simons, who was born on July 23rd 1996.
Tamara furthered her education at Utah Technical College (now UVU) graduating first from the secretarial program, then obtaining her LPN and ultimately graduated with her ADN degree in 1998.
After becoming an LPN, Tamara started working at Orem Community Hospital caring for mom/baby and medical/surgical patients for 5 years. After graduating with her ADN, she added labor and delivery patients to her skill set. She spent a total of 9.5 years at OCH and made many lasting friendships. In 2007 she started working at Timpanogos Regional Hospital in their newly opened level III Neonatal Intensive Care Unit where she remained until her passing. It was in the NICU that Tamara truly found her passion, she loved her “littles” and remained in touch with many of her patients and their families. Seeing her tiny patients blossom into the strong, resilient children she always believed them to be, brought her many moments of happiness throughout the years.
In 2001, Tamara took care of a labor patient named Zenda Wall, who played matchmaker for her brother-in-law Todd Wall. Todd and Tamara married in 2003, combining their two families and raising them in the fry sauce colored house on Little Sweden Road in Daniels, UT. Throughout the last 20 years Todd and Tamara not only raised their combined four children but many bonus children they acquired along the way. Everyone was always welcome at the Wall house with a hot meal and a warm bed for however long they needed it. They also established a successful business T&T Transport, Tamara took care of the paperwork and Todd got to do what he does best, play in the dirt.
Tamara loved to travel and visited many far flung places from Europe to the Caribbean with many places in between. Her favorite destination the last several years was visiting the Orlando FL area to see her daughter McKaylie and her grand puppies, Miley and Kya. Among traveling she also loved going to countless concerts and festivals with family and friends and loved the many animals and dogs that came into their home.
