On May 15th, 2016 Stanley Sulser Walton departed mortal life and returned to Heavenly Father. He died at home surrounded by loved ones. He loved growing up in Midway with his friends. He enjoyed hunting, fishing and roaming the mountains.
Stanley Sulser Walton was born November 16, 1929 to Ina Sulser Walton and C.D. Walton. Preceded in death by his Dad, Mother, sister, and brother.
Stanley was a member of the LDS Church and loved scouting. He was a scoutmaster for 13 years with other various callings in the church. He met the love of his life in Park City. After his discharge from the military he was married to Shirlene Hamilton Walton on July 3rd, 1953. Later they were sealed in the Provo Temple May 3rd, 1972 with their children. Stanley and Shirlene were happily married for 63 years. He worked in the Park City mines for over 30 years first as a miner, then an electrician. After the mines shut down he went to work for Geneva Steal as an electrician for 17 years. When he retired he spent a lot of time fishing with his buddies and family on Strawberry and Dear Creek. He loved taking care of his yard, riding his John Deer mower and planting trees. He took great pride in everything he did; he was great example to all of his family and a great provider. In his last days he loved to see his grandchildren and great grandchildren, they put a big smile on his face and a sparkle in his eyes.
The family would like to thank IHC Hospice and his nurse Jamie, they were a great help and support to him and his family.
Stanley is survived by his wife Shirlene, sons Gary (Barbara), Ron (Betty), and daughter Brenda, brother Jerry Kay Walton (Beth), grandchildren 7, great grandchildren 11 and 1 on the way.
A viewing will be held Friday May 20th, 2016 from 6:00 to 8:00pm. Funeral services will be held Saturday May 21st, 2016 at 11am, with a viewing from 9:30-10:30am before the funeral services.
All services will be held at the Daniel Ward LDS church building, 2330 South Daniel Road.
