Stanley James Larsen, our beloved husband, father, grandfather, great-grandfather, and friend to everyone who met him passed away on July 1, 2023. He was at home, in the arms of his sweetheart.
He fought a brave and courageous battle against Acute Myeloid Leukemia. He is truly a warrior who is now at peace.
He was born on July 3, 1935, in Park City, Utah to Ola Willard and Florence Sweatsfield Larsen. He married the love of his life, Maxine McDonald on September 22, 1958. He served in the United State Air Force from August 10, 1953 to August 9, 1957.
Stan loved to go fishing and spending time outdoors. He loved golfing and working on the golf course with his friends. He was still working full-time at 87 years old. Most of all he loved his wife, Maxine and his family.
He is survived by his wife Maxine McDonald Larsen, sons Scott James (Barbara) Larsen and Michael David (Stacey) Larsen, daughters Terry Jean (Monte) Hauck and Launie Kay Larsen, granddaughters Lacey Lynne (Robert) Piep and Hayley Marie (Eddie) Larsen, great-granddaughters Nataley Rose Key, Marley Lynne, Ava Ann Piep, great-grandson Myles Michael Piep, brothers Neal (Roberta) Larsen and Gail (Lucy) Larsen, and sister Nelly Rose Wall.
He is preceded in death by his parents Ola Willard Larsen and Florence Sweatsfield Larsen, brothers Willard, Loran, and Guy Larsen, sisters Minnie Larsen and Ruby Henrion.
There will be a graveside service held on Thursday, July 6, 2023, at 12:30pm at the Heber City Cemetery located at 680 North 550 East Heber City, Utah 84032.
The family requests in lieu of flowers to please make donations to the Leukemia & Lymphoma Society or The Horse of Many Colors, a local non-profit organization.
