Sherma Lou Morris Burgener

November 22, 1939 — February 10, 2020

Sherma Lou Morris Burgener, 80, of Heber City, passed away February 10, 2020 at home surrounded by her loved ones. She was born November 22, 1939 in Heber City, to Ray and Esther Frisby Morris.

She married her high school sweetheart, Glen Cluff Burgener on June 19, 1957 in the Salt Lake Temple. They were married for 63 years.
She graduated for Wasatch High School and Seminary. She attended Hollywood Beauty College. She made many friends while doing her favorite thing, styling hair. You could always find her doing quilts for family and friends. Her quilts numbered into the thousands, they were all hand stitched. Her quilts were entered in the fair and won numerous ribbons. Her hands never stayed still.

Every chance she got you could find her out to Wendover! She enjoyed bowling and was the secretary for many leagues. She also worked at many places, Tri-Valley, Mr. G’s, Valley Milk, Homestead, Mountainland One Stop.

She always enjoyed spending time with family. It always made her smile to see her grandkids, great-grandkids, and great-great-grandkids.
Her favorite things were the trip to Branson, Missouri, watching the Utah Jazz, and golf ( Tiger Woods was her favorite), and she really enjoyed listening to George Strait.

She is survived by husband Glen Burgener, children Kelvin (Diane) Burgener of Heber City, Kathy (Dennis) Browning of St. George, Ed Burgener of Heber City, and Paula (Richard Curfew) of Magna, 16 grandchildren, 37 great-grandchildren, and 10 great-great children. She is also survived by sister, Edith McClellan.

She is preceded in death by parents, daughter Glenna, granddaughter Michelle, and sister LaConna. She will be missed many.

Funeral services will be held at The Heber East Stake Center (2395 S. Mill Road, Heber City, Utah) Saturday, February 15th, 2020 at noon. A viewing will be held Friday, February 14th from 6:00 PM - 8:00 PM, and Saturday from 10:00 AM – 11:30 AM. Interment will be at the Heber City Cemetery.
