Shauna Jane Witte passed away unexpectedly on December 2, 2018. Shauna was born to Keith David Love and Sara Ellen Miller on October 9, 1955 in Bountiful, Utah and she returned to their loving arms as they preceded her in death. She was the middle child of 7 and cherished her relationship with her family, friends and faith in God.
A more selfless person, certainly a more selfless mother, does not exist in this world. Incredibly hard-working, the benefits of her labors always went to others before herself.
Shauna embodied a quiet spirit and kept to herself, but those that spent effort and time to get to know her quickly saw the beautiful soul she was. Her maiden name “Love” truly served the person she was inside and out. Reminiscing with those dear in her life either through friendships, work, or church one thing was certain; Shauna did not want to be a bother to anyone. She would take on any situation or hardship gracefully, in a way that was as minimally intrusive to others as possible. Shauna was incredibly strong—bravely and without fanfare walking down more than her fair-share of difficult roads; roads that few successfully travel. Any medical staff that cared for Shauna would consistently comment on her strength and kindness.
Shauna’s life was devoted to her children and her grandchildren; Matt (son), Jenny (daughter), Hannah (granddaughter 11), Ella (granddaughter 8), Olivia (granddaughter 5), Knox (grandson 5), Ryder (grandson 2), Shawn and Emily (son and daughter in law).
Shauna was to-the-core practical in the best way, luxury was unnecessary. In Shauna’s earlier years and through much of her life, her heart and passion was in aerobics and running. There were very few things that instilled confidence in her, fitness was one of them.
Shauna appreciated the simple things in life. The most important things in life. Shauna didn’t have many grand adventures or travel the world. She didn’t need to: her heart, her joy was always close to home. In her children, her grandchildren, her family. Making her grandkids their favorite pancakes, buying them treats, going for snow cones or dip n’ dots, watching movies together were moments that fulfilled her in every way. Shauna had a special bond with Matt and Jenny; unconditional love like no other. Her life was dedicated to making sure their happiness came first.
