Ruth Fuhrman Sears

Ruth Fuhrman Sears was born in Philadelphia, Pennsylvania to Mina and Clarence Fuhrman.
Her sister Mina and parents preceded her in death.

Raised in Haddonfield, New Jersey she spent her childhood summers in Cape May, New
Jersey. High School Summers were spent in Ocean City, New Jersey. Her favorite past time
was riding her horse "Trigger" with friends.

Ruth attended Lankenau Hospital School of Nursing and upon graduation attended The
University of Pennsylvania to continue her education. At the University she met her husband
Alson. They were married on August 30, 1958 at the Little Church around the Corner in NYC.
Moving to Davis, California where Alson attended the Veterinary School of Medicine at the
University of California Davis. During those years their children Alson Whittier Sears Ill "Skip", Patricia Anne Sears "Patti" and Michael Fuhrman Sears were born.

Ruth pursued a variety of nursing endeavors, OB Nurse, Public Health, Pediatric Nurse and
Director of Nursing. Giving it all up to work with her husband at The Sears Veterinary Hospital which she built in Lancaster California.

She and her Husband Alson, Retired to Park City, Utah in 2003. An Avid skier she spent many happy years on the slopes of Park City Mountain Resort and Deer Valley. She skied her final run after turning 80, keeping the video to prove it.

Maintaining a close relationship with her adult children and four Grand Children, Kimberly Ryan, Keene Shaw and her husband Richard G Shaw, Cameron C Keene, Carter A Sears, Miles E. Sears and her daughter in-law Elizabeth A Sears "Beth".

Ruth found the most joy surrounded by her husband of 64 years, her family and close friends.

She will be missed by all who knew her.
