Our beloved mother, grandmother and sister Ruth Ann Durtschi, passed away April 21, 2022 at the age of 75 at Intermountain Medical Center in Murray, UT. She was the 4th born of 6 in Heber City on September 27, 1946 to Walter and Lila Durtschi.
Ruth Graduated from Wasatch High School in 1964 and went on to serve an LDS mission in Hill Cumorah, New York. Ruth was a devoted member of The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints and was very excited about the new temple coming to Heber Valley. She loved working for her hometown school district and loved being able to help the children with special needs. She loved scrapbooking, sewing, board games with her family and cowboy poetry. But, above all else, she loved and was dedicated to her family and was loved by them all the same and will be missed dearly.
She was preceded in death by her parents, brother Marlin, and her brother-in-law Kenneth Pentico. She is survived by RaNae Pentico, Oren Durtschi, Dwayne (Ann) Durtschi, and Norman (Bonnie) Durtschi, her children, grandchildren and many nieces and nephews.
Ruth had 3 children, Ann (Chris) Moore, Sam (Jess) Platts, and Ron Platts. She had 8 grandchildren: Taylor, Christopher, Derick, Colton, Kamron, Morgan, Hunter and Lilith.
A viewing will be held on Friday, April 29, 2022, from 9:00 AM – 10:30 AM with a funeral service to follow at 11:00 AM at the Charleston Ward, 3450 South 3500 West, Midway, Utah 84049. The graveside service will follow the funeral service at the Midway City Cemetery, 600 West 500 South, Midway, UT 84049.
