Ronald David Chatwin

Our sweet and loving husband, father, brother, grandfather and friend passed away from cancer on Aug. 31, 2019 on his Mother’s birthday. With his sweetheart by his side. Ron was born Dec. 3, 1943 to Shirley Fae Monks and Clifton David Chatwin. Ron was the oldest of 8 children. He grew up in Tabiona and Midway, Ut. Was a member of The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter Day Saints.He graduated from Wasatch High School in 1962.

Ronald married Claudia VanTassell they had 2 children Kevin and Eilene. They were married for 27 years. When Claudia passed away he married Lynn Graham in 1992 She has 3 children so they have 5 children. And they were also married for 27 years before his death.

Growing up he milked cows for several dairy farmers, and worked for several years for Ritchie’s Chicken Farm. Later he drove a water truck for 30 plus years. He was in Search and Rescue for 15-20 years. His most current job was serving a mission for the Church on the Church Farm which he truly loved.

He was a hard worker. He was always kind and willing to help anyone. And taught us as a family so much.

Ron is survived by his wife Lynn, Children: Kevin (Toni) Chatwin Eilene (Allan) Johnson Micky (Shaw), Cassie (Shaun), James (Andrea) and numerous grandchildren and great-grandchildren. Brothers and sisters: Rose Chatwin (sister-in-law) Julie (Dennis)Wheeler, Maurice (Julie) Chatwin, Eugene Chatwin, Marcellene (Mark) Provost, Dennis (Donna) Chatwin, Randy (Becky) Chatwin.

Preceded in death by his parents, his first wife Claudia and brother Jerry
Funeral services will be held Fri. Sept 6, 2019, 11 a.m. at the Butler 4th Ward, 6634 S. Greenfield Way Cottonwood Heights. A visitation will be held Thurs. Sept. 5, 2019 from 6-8 p.m. at the church and the day of the service from 10-10:45 a.m.

Interment Midway Cemetery. We love you, we’ll miss you, you’re forever in our hearts we will see you again.
