Robyn Lynn De Guevara Davis
1955-2019
Robyn went home to her Lord and Savior on July 15, 2019 after a valiant fight for over two years, battling an aggressive form of oral cancer.
Robyn Lynn De Guevara Davis was born December 9, 1955, to Robert and Juanita De Guevara, and her older sister Pamela Shockley was excited to have a baby sister.
Born and raised in Whittier, California, Robyn was a true California girl: homecoming queen and captain of the cheerleading squad. She loved to spend her free time at the beach with her girlfriends, listening to The Beach Boys.
On May 24, 1980, Robyn married the love of her life, Thomas J. Davis, and became an instant step-mom to three beautiful girls: Carrie (deceased), Jessica, and Kimberly, whom she loved dearly. After a few years of marriage, Robyn and Tom had three children together—Shawn, Rachel (Brian Smart), and Ryan. Later, she also loved to spend all of her time with her two beautiful grand babies, Ezra and Isabella.
Robyn was the type of person who could make you feel on top of the world, just by talking with her for a for a few short minutes. She saw the good in everyone and would go out of her way to make sure you knew that you are special and loved.
No one loved food more than Robyn. Anything from a warm slice of buttered bread, to a fresh crisp salad, to a cheeseburger or chocolate chip cake. If you made it, she’d eat it! If there was a fun time to be had, Robyn wanted to be part of it and made sure she didn’t miss out on anything.
Everyone who had the opportunity to know Robyn, knew that her world revolved around her Lord and Savior Jesus Christ.
She spoke of her faith with pride, and even though she sometimes wondered why these things were happening to her, she never questioned God’s love and never second guessed His plan.
Robyn’s faith in Jesus Christ was innate and unwavering for the duration of her life, and nothing would please her more than sharing that with you, one last time.
Services will be held on Thursday, August 8th at 11:00AM at High Pointe Church. 2775 South Highway 40, Heber City, Utah 84032.
