Roberta “Bertie” Elizabeth Wareham Baker passed away on January 5th 2017 due to health issues related to Corticobasal Degeneration. Bertie was born December 23, 1950 in Culver City, CA to Phyllis (Bill Beckman) and Bill Wareham. She was the youngest of three children, her brother Randy (Pat) Wareham of Kearns, UT and sister Cheryl Mathews of Carlsbad, CA.
In 1963 her family moved to Colorado where in her late teens she met her husband to be Danny Baker. They moved to Utah and settled in Heber in 1975. They had two children Brandon (Marisa) Baker of Heber City and Jessica (Justin) Davis of Heber City and 5 grandchildren Lyndee, Kaelin, Wesley, Kai, and Corbin and 1 great-grandchild on the way.
Bertie cherished her family and friends and was an influence to many. She loved horses, fishing, and helping those around her spiritually, physically, and emotionally. Over the years Bertie held many jobs. Some of her favorites were manager of South Beach Echo Resort, bartender/cook at The Eagles FOE, and Fosgate Soundsystems. She was well known for her Pork Green Chili Burritos and 15 bean soup. She was a friend to everyone she met and loved by all who knew her. She will be sorely missed.
Celebrate her life with us Saturday January 14, 2017 from 2-4pm at the Charleston Town Hall 3454 W 3400 S Heber City/Charleston, Utah. In lieu of flowers donations can be made at America First Credit Union 892 S Main St, Heber City, UT 84032
