Robert “Bob” Steven Grant passed away on April 6, 2015 in Murray, Utah. He was born to Ned and LaRue Grant on October 7, 1952 in Granger, Utah. Bob was a momma’s boy, and is so glad to be reunited with his mother after all these years. He was married to Joyce Grant, and they lived in Heber City, Utah.
Bob graduated from Granger High School in 1971. He was the senior class president and the captain of the basketball team. He then started his profession of siding, soffit and fascia, which he did for more than 40 years.. Bob had six children, five girls and a boy, whom he loved greatly. One of his favorite things to do was to see his children perform. He would make every effort to attend every baseball game, football game, choir performance or show that his children were in. He loved to spend time with his grandchildren as well. He loved to hunt, fish, golf and camp. He loved to be out side at all times, no matter what season. He had a great love for the mountains and for teaching people how to enjoy the outdoors. He was a primary teacher for the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter Day Saints, and of all the callings he held in the church that was his favorite. He loved children. He was a great man, and an example to everyone he came in contact with of service, love, acceptance, and caring. Bob will be missed greatly; he was always a great friend and support, and the world is a little worse off by not having him here.
Bob is preceded in death by Ned Grant (father), LaRue Grant (mother), Craig Grant (brother), and Logan Grant (grandson). He is survived by Joyce Grant (wife), his sister Gayle Warner (Scott), and his six children Cambria Shore (Re), Marissa Poole (Ryan) and grandkids Ben, Abby, Colin & Cameron, Jeffrey Grant (Amy), Ashley Haslam (Jared), Chelsea Hubbard (Jesse) and grandson Van, Megan Jennings (Quenten), along with his six step-children his many step-grandchildren, whom he considered his own. We’ll miss you, Dad! An open house will be held on Thursday, April 9, 2015 from 6-7:30 PM at the LDS church located at 8950 South 1300 West, West Jordan, Utah.
