Robby Fay Tollison

March 28, 1937 — February 15, 2023

Robby Fay Tollison passed away surrounded by family, on February 15, 2023 in
Heber City, Utah, at the age of 85. She was born on March 28, 1937 in Fitzhugh,
Oklahoma to Leonard Troy Young and Elizabeth Bulloch Young. On August 18, 1957 she
married Donald Lloyd Tollison in Fitzhugh, they were married for 59 years before he
passed in 2016. Prior to moving to Utah in 2019 she resided in Virginia and Texas.

Robby lived an extraordinary life dedicated to the service of others. Her most prized
roles were wife, Mom, and Mawmaw. Her family is fully aware that they had the best
there is. She graduated from Oklahoma State University and had a thirty year career as a
middle school Math teacher. Along with others, in 1964, Robby founded a community
outreach organization in Midland, Texas called, Casa de Amigos, to “improve the quality
of life throughout the community by helping people help themselves,” through programs
like necessary education classes and trainings. Casa is still running today, serving almost
4,000 people annually. Robby was an active member of the United Methodist Women
organization and was proud to serve in the Church, she participated in and led Bible
studies throughout her life. She and her husband Donald started the very first youth group
at Stanton, Texas First United Methodist Church and were proud to lead young people into
a life of following God. Robby and Donald’s house was a place of gathering for youth for
decades to follow, their pool was a popular hangout and Robby made sure everyone was
well fed. Robby inspired in her family a deep love and appreciation for the power of good
food in bringing people together. Exercise was important to Robby whether it was the
treadmill in her earlier years, walking, swimming, or group classes in her later years, she
was sure to live a healthy and active lifestyle. Robby even spent time teaching women to
drive and empowering them to get their drivers licenses.

Robby and Donald raised and grew their family to be close and love one another.
Robby is survived by her loving family that will miss her dearly: her children Miles
Tollison and wife Pam of Utah, Mary Beth Hardman of Texas, Stacy Tollison and husband
Matt of Virginia; grandchildren Matthew Tollison and wife Kathleen, Haley McAllister
and husband Wylen, Justin Hardman and wife Pamela, Jessica Fay, and Dylan Zirbel;
