Richard Eugene Northington

Richard Eugene Northington died on October 27, 2024. He was born in San Diego, California January 12, 1957 to Richard Ellis Northington and Vera Amelia Higginbotum. He grew up in the San Diego area and graduated from high school. On August 9, 1978 he married Linda Sue Pratt.

Richard was a loving and caring husband. He was always working on something and had a million projects going on at the same time. For years he enjoyed boxing. He loved being with kids, especially his grandkids. For years he volunteered with the Cub Scouts and Boy Scouts. He taught them many things. He always seemed to have a better and faster way to do things. He served for more than 4 years in the Pinion Forest Special Service District. Richard was also an assistant welding instructor for 9 years. He was always helping someone. Linda says that he was a great cook and loved NASCAR.

Surviving Richard is his wife, Linda Pratt Northington; son, Lloyd (Jessica) Northington; 5 grandchildren; one sister; great friends like Jeff “Mr. T” and James Schutte; and by his dog, Whiskey. He was preceded in death by his parents; two sisters; one brother; and his parents-in-law Morris and Judy Pratt.
