Richard Paul Maloney

December 2, 1951 - January 5, 2025

It is with profound sadness that I share the passing of my beloved father, Richard Paul Maloney, who left us on January 5th, 2025 at the age of 73. He was a man of immense humor, who always had a joke to tell. He truly loved to make people laugh and feel loved. He cherished every moment spent with his loved ones, and found the most joy in his granddaughter Sonia and grandson Ryder. Besides spending quality time with his family and friends, he loved attending his kid’s sporting events, never missing a single game. He had a massive love for all dogs, and spent a portion of his life caring for former dog Bella.

Richard moved to Park City in 1978 from the East Coast and began a career at Park City Mountain Resort. He worked as a lift mechanic for nearly forty years. He enjoyed all those he worked with and left a lasting impact on the Park City Mountain. Richard is survived by his ex-wife Teri Maloney, and his three children Joey Maloney, Katie Maloney, and Rocky Maloney.
