Rhea Carlson

November 13, 1941 — May 6, 2025

Rhea Carlson graduated from her mortal life on May 6, 2025 in Murray Utah, surrounded by her family.

Rhea was born on November 13, 1941, in Orem Utah to David Dawayne Cordner and Alice Rebecca Mecham. She married her sweetheart Dale E Carlson on December 15, 1967, in the Salt Lake City, Utah temple. They welcomed 8 children, 23 grandchildren and 7 great grandchildren into their lives.

Rhea grew up in Orem Utah with her parents and older brother. Her younger years, working in the orchards with her father, and tending to all of the farm animals created in her a lifelong love for all animals and farm life. She loved training and showing her horses and working in the fields.

She was involved in all family activities, her love for her family and her faith were second to none. Rhea's life's work was raising her family, doing family history and attending the temple. She was proud of her heritage and loved to share her knowledge of family history work with everyone. She had a goal to visit all the temples in the United States but fell short because they started building them faster than she could keep up.

Because of her faith and testimony, Rhea was blessed with beating all the odds given to her by the many medical teams. Rhea not only endured but thrived through over 30 years of cancer treatments and other illnesses. Her faith never wavered and was exemplified in her everyday life.

Rhea is survived by her husband Dale E Carlson; sons and daughters: Sandy Smith, Travis (Crystal) Carlson, Jody (Ben) Juengling, Cindy (Fred) Lipke, Cathy (Jeremiah) Blonquist, Brian (Laura) Carlson, and David Carlson; 17 grandchildren; and 7 great grandchildren. She was preceded in death by her parents, David Dawayne Cordner and Alice Rebecca Mecham; her older brother, Dawayne Cordner; son, Brad Carlson; and 6 granddaughters.

There will be a viewing on Tuesday, May 13th from 6:00 - 8:00 pm at the Wallsburg, Utah Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints Chapel (494 West Main Canyon Road).
