Rex D Cummings, born June 23, 1927 passed away August 26, 2014 peacefully at his home surrounded by his family. Rex was born to Thomas Rex Cummings and Vera (Davis) Cummings.
Rex had a wonderful childhood growing up on the farm in Daniels. He enlisted in the US Navy and served in WWII. Rex worked many years in Construction, then for Hecla Mining Company in Park City and retired from US Steel in Orem. He enjoyed his time with Betty in the outdoors hunting and fishing and traveling south in the winter months to the Yuma, Arizona area. Rex loved visiting with everyone he met. He loved spending time with all his extended family, which included all his neighbors and anyone else they adopted along the way.
Survived by: His wife of 67 years Betty (Muir) Cummings: Children; son Chris D Cummings (Sheri), daughter Syndi Cummings-Parker (David), daughter Bonnie Sessions (Gary); 11 grandchildren and 19 great grandchildren; brother Kayle Cummings (Deanna). He is preceded in death by his parents and brother Ray Cummings and wife Wanda.
Funeral Services will be held on Saturday, August 30th, 2014 at 11:00am at the Heber North Stake Center, 521 E 500 N, Heber City, UT with a viewing that morning from 9:30-10:30am. A Viewing will also be held at the same location on Friday, August 29th from 6:00–8:00pm. Condolences may be shared at www.probstfamilyfunerals.com
