Reed Clark was born on March 24, 1931 in Salt Lake City Utah. He died peacefully on the evening of March 4, 2023. He is survived by his loving wife Di, daughter Pamela Clark (Carl Albun), stepdaughter Suzanne Brown(Tom Brown) and stepson Mark Richards ( Terri Morris and late wife Carla Richards). He was blessed with many loving grandchildren and great grandchildren in his blended family with Di. Reed was preceded in death by his parents, siblings, two children and one grandson.

Reed grew up in Salt Lake City where he enjoyed skiing and playing football. He attended the University of Utah where he earned a BA in Economics and became a lifelong fan of the Utes. He later earned an MBA. His professional career with Amoco Oil Co. spanned 40 years and involved moves to Colorado, Kansas, Illinois and North Carolina. During this time he became an avid golfer and tennis player. After retirement he finally returned to the place he felt most at home- the mountains of Utah. Once there he became very active in his civic and church communities. He was deeply impacted by his relationship to his great grandfather John Taylor, the third president of The Church of Jesus Christ and Latter-day Saints. Reed developed many rich and rewarding friendships while providing his quiet and devoted service. Reed was a man known for his dry humor and quiet determination. Though always open to listening to the thoughts of others, he remained true to his strong personal convictions. He will be deeply missed by those who knew and loved him.

Friends and family are welcome to gather on Monday, March 13, 2023 from 10:00 AM - 10:45 AM at the Swiss Alpine Ward, 1102 South Center Street, Midway, Utah 84049. Following the friends and family gathering, a memorial service will be held at 11:00 AM at the Swiss Alpine Ward, 1102 South Center Street, Midway, Utah 84049.
