Mom left her family on Friday, May 6, 2022, to join those of her family who are waiting for her to reunite again. She was born May 18, 1942, to Thomas Edward Wade and Erma Atkinson. She married Vance Leroy Farrer on September 13, 1958, and on May 18, 1978, were sealed in the Provo Temple.
Family was the most important thing to Mom. They were number one in her life. She supported all of her family in whatever activity or event that they were involved in. It started with her children all through high school and continued with her grandchildren and great grandchildren.
Mom loved sitting outdoors on the patio watching her family. Game nights and doing puzzles was always a treat for Mom. She loved giving to others and always wanted to help in any way that she could. If anyone knew Mom, they knew that, whatever they were discussing, she would tell it like it was. No sugar coating. You knew where you stood with mom. She was always upfront and honest.
In her younger days, she loved to sew. She made each grandchild dresses to wear to church and made numerous blessing dresses.
Mom was a member of The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints. She served in the Nursery for 22 years and loved each one of those special children. She loved doing temple work. She loved helping anyone who needed a babysitter.
Christmas was her favorite holiday and she always decorated beautifully to celebrate the Savior’s birth. Mom and Dad traveled a lot in their later years. Mom loved being with her sweetheart and doing things with him. They were always together.
Mom will be mossed more than words can express, but we have comfort knowing she is having fun dancing with Bonnie. They will be waiting for us when we are called to our heavenly home, and we can all celebrate together on that glorious day.
Mom is preceded in death by her parents, sister Bonnie Jean Wade, and brother Clair Wade.
Survived by: husband, Vance Leroy, her 5 children; Shalayne (Felicia) Farrer, Karrie Lynn (Brad) Simmons, Marsha (Troy) Thorn, Wade Farrer, and Justin (Randi) Farrer, her siblings; Rodney Wade, Randy Wade, and Pam Blonquist, as well as her 15 grandchildren and 23 great grandchildren.
We love you more mom, until we meet again.
