Paula Cushing Probst was born January 27, 1943 in the Heber Hospital. Born to Bliss Cushing and Ione Fraughton. She passed away peacefully with her family surrounding her on December 3, 2022 at Utah Valley Hospital.
Paula married the love of her life, Kyle Ray Probst on April 20, 1962 in the Salt Lake LDS Temple. She has many talents which included her beautiful flowers gardens and beds, crafts, making homemade cards and sewing. She was so talented she even turned her Jr Prom dress into her wedding dress.
Paula was a faithful member of The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints, serving in many positions throughout her life. She graduated from Wasatch High School, class of 1961. She was an honor student and earned a full-time scholarship to Utah State University and was 1st attendant to Miss Wasatch. She always put her family first and foremost, even before herself. She had a special place in her heart for her grandchildren and great grandchildren. She loved to have them near her and always had a fun project or activity planned for them. She loved her beautiful yard and sitting in her swing as she looked out at the beautiful Wasatch mountains.
She is survived by her husband, Patriarch Kyle Probst, and her six daughters that she was so very proud of: Michelle (Don) Healey, Ann (Dave) Rueckert, Jill Sidwell, Karen Probst, Cheris (Dewey) Jessen and Bethany Probst. Sisters: Jeri (Dave) Carter and Jill (Tom) Taylor. Brother Neall Cushing.
She is preceded in death by her only son, Jeffery Kyle Probst. Her father Bliss William Cushing. Her mother Lillie Ione Fraughton, her beloved Aunt Marie and Uncle Earl Kohler who welcomed her into their home when she was 15 years old. Her granddaughter Robbin Sierra Rueckert and grandson Daxon Styler. Father and mother-in law Nephi and Beth Probst and Brother Lee Cushing.
Paula has 27 grandchildren and 38 great grandchildren, with 4 more on the way. They were her whole world and loved each of them unconditionally. She prided herself in making one of her beautiful homemade cards for her children, grandchildren and great grandchildren and never missed their birthdays.
Mom will be missed so much, but knowing we will all be together one day gives us all comfort.
A viewing will be held on Tuesday, December 6, 2022, from 6:00 – 8:00 PM and again on Wednesday, December 7, 2022, from 9:00-10:30 AM with funeral services to follow at 11:00 AM at the Midway Stake Center, 165 North Center Street, Midway, Utah.
