Our beloved mother, grandmother, sister and friend Patsy Elaine “Pat” Paxton passed away on December 21st, 2020 in her home, surrounded by her loving family. She was born in Salt Lake City, Utah on February 3, 1943. She graduated from Olympus High School, and attended the University of Utah where she majored in Special Education. She retired from Smiths Marketplace as the Home Goods Manager.
She loved fishing, camping, puzzles, reading, crocheting, gardening and music. She always made her surroundings beautiful with flowers and garden statues. She was an avid Jazz fan. Most of all, she loved her people. She left this earth the same way she lived her life, always on her own terms. She will be remembered for her quick wit and the way she kept everyone on their toes, never knowing what might come out of her mouth next. She was the definition of marching to the beat of her own drum.
She is survived by her daughters Michelle Coy (Robert), Patty, and Millie, and her son Brad (Kelly). Her granddaughters Kelsey (Bennett), Michelle, and Alicia, and grandsons Kristopher (Jessica), Joey (Mandy), Adam, Brayden, and Nicholas. Her sisters Deanna, Joan, Kathleen and Betty. She is also survived by many nieces, nephews, and great-grandchildren. She is preceded in death by the love of her life, Michael, as well as her sister Pam and brothers Gary and John.
Due to the COVID-19 Pandemic, her celebration of life will be announced at a later date
