Nadine Giles Price
April 24, 1930 – January 19, 2015

Our loving mother, grandmother, and great-grandmother was reunited with her eternal sweetheart, J. Fred, on Monday, January 19, 2015. Nadine Giles Price was born to Henry A and Flossie Lake Giles on April 24, 1930, in Heber City, Utah. Her father died when she was only six weeks old, and her mother sacrificed much and was determined to keep her family together.

That beginning to life resulted in a strong sense of family for Mom. Her greatest joy came from her work as a homemaker, wife, mother, and grandmother. She was an angel mother indeed. Each grandchild was given a special nickname by Mom, and each – in turn – had a special nickname for her. Her Christ-like love was shared first with her family, and her influence was also felt by many as she served in numerous positions in the LDS church and as a member of the Daughters of the Utah Pioneers. Mom never left the Heber Valley, and her happiness truly was found at home.

Mom will be remembered for her listening ear, her generous giving, her beautiful flowers and garden, her famous candy drawer, her testimony of Jesus Christ, and her love for her family.

Family members surviving Nadine include her three children John (Brenda), Laurel (Joe) Rail, and Jay (Becky); sixteen grandchildren; 41 great-grandchildren, and two great-great-grandsons. She is also survived by her brother Calvin Giles; her sisters-in-law Carol Giles, Clara Holmes, Veon Price, Inez Horner, Edna Bird, Leona (Mark) Barnard, Louise Wilding; and many beloved nieces and nephews. She is preceded in death by her husband, J. Fred; her parents; her parents-in-law, H Fred and Ruby Price; her siblings Elizabeth (Walter) Bostwick, Leah (Glen) Horrocks, Laura May Giles, Erma (LL Red) Moorman, Sherman (Kaye) Giles, Jennie (Ralph) Findley, Amber Giles, Glen Giles; numerous brothers- and sisters- in law; and one great-granddaughter, Kennedy Jay.

Funeral services will be held on Saturday, January 24, at 11:00 a.m. in the Deer Creek LDS Chapel. Friends may visit the family at a viewing at the church from 10:00 – 10:45 a.m. on Saturday or from 6:00 - 8:00 on Friday evening. Burial will be in the Midway City Cemetery. The family would like to thank Intermountain Hospice for the loving care given to Mom.
