Mont Wilson, 70, passed away on Nov. 27, 2021 after a brief illness. Born in Heber City, Utah on March 26, 1951 to Earl and Reta Wilson, he was raised primarily in Midway, Utah and was a graduate of Wasatch High School where he was a member of the rodeo team where he excelled at calf roping, team roping and his favorite event, steer wrestling. After high school, Mont was drafted into the US Army and served as an honor guard in Washington, DC.
Mont loved hunting in the mountains above Midway with his dad & Uncle Glade, as well as with his brother James and all the many cousins and friends who came to the Wilson farm for the annual deer hunt. In later years, he lived for the elk hunts in the Uintah mountains near his home in Hanna, Utah. He worked throughout the Western United States as foreman on many large construction projects and helped neighbors, friends and family build barns and outbuildings, lending his expertise to one and all.
Mont is survived by his daughter Jodi, his granddaughter Kadee, his sister Vicky (Paul) Clark, brother James (Louise) Wilson, and including, adopted daughters Emily, Stephanie, and stepchildren Kricket, Shawn, Tiffany, and Geri, as well as many nieces, nephews, cousins, and countless friends. He was preceded in death by his parents and a beloved cousin, Vaughn Wilson.
FUNERAL SERVICES WILL BE HELD AT PROBST FAMILY FUNERALS IN MIDAY 79 EAST MAIN STREET MIDWAY, UT 84049, THURSDAY DEC 2, 2021 AT 12 NOON. Everyone who knew and loved him is welcome to attend.
