Mont was born on Sept. 19, 1977, in Heber City, to Von Sweat and Rona Walton. He had three siblings Bill Crook, Ryan Sweat and Becky Mecham. Mont was diagnosed with a rare terminal cancer in August of this year and passed on Sept. 27, 2016.
He attended Wasatch High class of 1996. Mont lived with his soulmate, Sarah Isbell, from Greenville, South Carolina. Over the past 8 years, they raised four incredible children together, Taylor Sweat, Morgan Sweat, Kadence Cummings and Alyssa Cummings. Mont's children will always remember him as their role model, hero and friend. Mont was a jokester, always giving the kids a hard time. Laughing was a regular event in the home. Mont encouraged his children to get their education and pursue their dreams. Mont was known by his family and friends as the kindest hearted man of all times and the #1 Mad Dog around. He loved being in the mountains, shooting, shed hunting, hiking, riding his horses and camping with his family and friends. Mont always lived life to the fullest and never looked back with regret! Mont was well known around town and guarantee when people speak of him there will be smiles exchanged.
The Celebration of Mont's life is scheduled for Oct. 6, at 11 a.m., Midway Town Hall, 130 West Main, Midway. All are welcomed and encouraged to attend and celebrate the life of the Monster, Mont Sweat.
