Michele Ann Sorenson (Anderson)

Michele Ann Sorenson (Anderson), age 38, passed away January 23, 2018, surrounded by her family, into the loving arms of her mother. She fought until the very end and finished her long, tough battle with cancer.

Michele was born May 15, 1979, in Salt Lake City, to Rick Sorenson and Terrie Martinez. She was raised in Heber City, where she met the love of her life, Jason. They raised together her 2 daughters for the last 18 years.

Michele loved the outdoors, hunting and driving in the mountains with her family and friends. She had a unique soul that left a great impression on everyone she met. Michele was the most honest person and always told you what she felt, especially when she knew that was exactly what you needed. Her big stubborn heart touched each and everyone she met. She enjoyed helping her daughter and nephews raise pigs for the county fair. She even assisted in the birth of many litters of piglets. She loved gardening and cooking. Her home was known as the last chance ranch, she would give every animal who needed a loving home and someone to take care of them, a last chance at life.

Michele enjoyed working for Transportation Staffing Services for the last 15 years. Where she made many lifelong friends from all over the country. They have always been a huge support system throughout her many years with them. Those she met there have greatly impacted her life in more ways than one and we would especially like to thank Gary and Susie for their continued support throughout the entire journey.

Michele is survived by her 2 daughters, Shaylee Sorenson and Jacie Mair. And the love of her life, Jason Anderson. Father, Rick Sorenson, Brother, Clint Sorenson (Missy) – Nephews, Brayden & Bowdy Sorenson – Niece, Brylie Sorenson, Father-in-law, Bill Anderson. Preceded in death by her mother, Terrie Martinez and grandparents.

A celebration of Michele’s life will be held at 1:00pm on Saturday, January 27, 2018 at the Midway Town Hall. In lieu of flowers, an account has been setup at Mountain America Credit Union for the girls.
