Melba Elaine Pace Kinsey, age 81, of Midway, UT passed away in her home surrounded by her family on September 28, 2018. She was born June 7, 1937 in Tabiona, Utah. She was the daughter of WM Bryan and Hazel Isabell Keel Pace. She married Ralph Roy Kinsey on January 8, 1954 in Provo, UT. Their marriage was later solemnized in the Provo Utah LDS Temple on September 25, 2013.
Melba had a zest for life and a spirit to serve. She was passionate about caring for others. She could always be counted on to provide help or comic relief. She worked for 10 years at the Heber Sewing Plant. She went back to school at 42 years old and received her LPN and TRT licenses. She was employed with the Wasatch Hospital and Care Center for 17 years. Once she retired from the hospital she went to work for Meals on Wheels, Long Term Care, Senior Companions and Hospice where she provided 19,037 hours of services before retiring.
Melba is preceded in death by her parents, 17 siblings, her husband, her son William Kinsey and her son Richard Kinsey. She is survived by her son David Kinsey (Arizona), a special daughter Tina Paphinger (Nevada), 3 daughter-in-laws, 15 grandchildren, 29 great grandchildren with another one due in February, 6 great great grandchildren, numerous nieces and nephews and her sweet little yorkie, Sophie.
Melba will be greatly missed by all who knew and loved her.
A viewing will be held on Sunday, October 7th from 6-8 p.m. and on Monday, October 8th from 9:30-10:30 a.m. Funeral Services will follow at 11:00 a.m. All services will be held at the Fort Midway Ward Chapel at 1102 S.
