Maxine spent her life in Heber growing up and lived in the family home where she was born. She graduated from Wasatch High School in 1948 marrying the love of her life Keith W. Carlile June 5, 1948 in the Salt Lake Temple. They were married 72 years.
Maxine always had an active personality and loved being with family and friends. Her first career position, which may have been the hardest, was stay at home Mom raising 2 boys while Keith was on the road most of time. In the late fifties Maxine started working part time in the Wasatch County Treasurers office during each tax season. In 1965 she accepted the position of Deputy Treasurer serving in that position until 2005. She loved working with the employees and especially the customers and the customers loved her. She prided herself in being able to recall data by memory and knew which ledger to look in for each parcel of land for customer's inquiries.
Maxine's greatest love was her family and always wanted to be with them. She was the happiest when she was cooking scones or dinner for anyone who came through her door. No one left the house hungry! She loved the weekend visits, the holidays and countless vacations with the family.
Maxine's other love was being a member of the Choralettes. She was an original member and later the director of the group. She kept the group active for 50 years singing multiple venues throughout the state of Utah.
