Matthew E Benson

Matthew E. Benson our beloved father, son, uncle, brother and friend left this world on December 1, 2016. Born September 10, 1976 to Martin E. and Patricia Benson in Colorado Springs Air Force Academy Hospital. He graduated from Marshfield High School in Coos Bay, Oregon. He relocated to Heber City, Utah after graduation. He spent time working in the oil fields in Roosevelt and Vernal, Utah. He worked in construction and started his own company.

He is survived by his son Matthew Ethan Benson of Salt Lake, his father Martin E. Benson and Jodi Emmons of Washington, his mother Patricia Nanninga and late stepfather John Fredrick Nanninga, sister Jennifer and Barry Shumway of Hyrum, Utah, sister Vonia and Nick Johnson of Oregon, Nickie and Than Examolitis of Oregon, brother Jason and Jean Nanninga of California, Jonathan Fredrick Nanninga of Washington.

He was a devoted and loving father and will be missed by all!

Funeral services will be held at 11:00 a.m. on Saturday, December 10th, at the Heber 7th Ward LDS Chapel (240 E. 400 S., Heber City, Utah). There will be a viewing before the service from 9:30-10:30am. Interment will be in the Mountain View Memorial Estates Cemetery.
