(Mary) Jeannine Davis Snider

You wish you were her

She hated being called Mary. She loved everything chocolate. And sleep. And beautifulness. And especially every one of her children and grandchildren. She sort of loved Jerry a lot – even when they were “heatedly discussing".

She and Jerry met at Granite High school. They married right out of high school in the Salt Lake City temple on Sept 13, 1948, and proceeded to have five fabulous children, who all have phenomenal spouses:
Gene (Wilma Carrasco), Diane (Randy Ross), Sandy (Craig Drury), Laurie (Keven Jensen) and Janis (Jerry Mariner), and they proceeded to have 25 glorious grandchildren who proceeded to have 50 amazing great-grandchildren, who proceeded to have 3 perfect great-great-grandchildren.

Jeannine loved a party! She brought the party to the party! She was a wonderful watercolor artist. She and Jerry were experts at water-skiing and snow-skiing. They made sure the family had so much fun adventuring.

She loved the gospel of Jesus Christ and served in ways that brought people – especially young women - closer to the Savior.

Jeannine is preceded in death by her husband, Jerry Snider; son, Gene Snider; parents, Ray and Jean Davis; brother, Bob Davis; sister, Joy Selin, and many other loved ones. In fact, there’s quite a party shakin’ on the other side. Jeannine is survived by her posterity, her sassy sister Judy (Omer) Huntington, feisty sister-in-law Lois (Lee) Fetzer along with many nieces, nephews and friends.

Jeannine was so happy in her most recent home – Heber Valley Assisted Living. A special thank you to Stacy and her staff, and the residents for making her feel so loved.

There will be a graveside service on Saturday, August 12, 2023, at 11:00AM at the Midway City Cemetery.
