Listen to Obituary

Our “sassy” mom, grandma, and great-grandma, passed away on July 9, 2026, at the age of 83.

Mary Ann was born on May 25, 1943 in Park City, Utah to Joseph and Mary Kochevar. She married her sweetheart Richard Henning on October 3, 1964.

Mary Ann worked at the Park City Phone Company and the Wasatch County School District as a lunch lady, but her most important job was “Grandma Honey”. She was an excellent cook and was famous for her potato salad. She also loved to craft and would sell her creations at Swiss days, Swiss Christmas, and her booth she had at the Quilted Bear in Salt Lake City.

Mary Ann’s happy place was in Wendover sitting at the slot machine or scratching one of her scratch cards. In her words “Think Money”.

She survived by her two sons, Brian (Natalie) Henning, and Mark (Wendy) Henning; her grandchildren, Steven (Teran) Henning, Ozzy (Alexa) Henning, Shanell Sterio, Crystal Kaeser, Taylor Kaeser, and Kayden Foster; and eight great-grandchildren with one on the way.

She is preceded in death by her husband, her parents, and her siblings.

A graveside service will be held on Wednesday, July 15, 2026 at 11 AM at the Heber City Cemetery at 680 North 550 East, Heber City, UT 84032.

Our family would also like to thank the staff of doctors and nurses at Rocky Mountain Care The Lodge for their kind and compassionate care of our mom.
