Marva Kay Rogers was born on September 24, 1943. Passed away on October 24, 2021. She was born to Edna K. and Elmer Whiting in Salmon, Idaho. Married Samuel Lowell Rogers on May 27, 1967.
She loved to garden, preserve and can food, especially her own homegrown vegetables. Also, she enjoyed carving full scale carousel horses. She thoroughly enjoyed the outdoors, which included hiking, canoeing and prior to being married Jeeping with her brothers. She loved make-up and music, and majored in Drama and Speech, which led her to direct plays at the Mansfield Ohio Playhouse. Another special accomplishment was holding the role of Librarian at the Plymouth Ohio Library.
As a member of The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-Day Saints she proudly served 3 missions; Los Angeles, California, Jackson, Mississippi, and Santa Rosa, California.
She is survived by her husband Sam Rogers, and four children, Sam (Dana) Rogers, David (Shantell) Rogers, Janet (Justin) Robinson, and Amy (Craig) Kenyon. Also blessed with 14 grandchildren, and 2 great grandsons, and 3 brothers Carvel, Leon, and David Whiting.
She is preceded in death by her parents Edna and Elmer Whiting.
Funeral Service to be held on Saturday, October 30th, 2021 at 11:30 am at Heber Valley Funeral Home, Viewing will be held from 10:00 am to 11:00 am prior to the service. Both in Heber City, Utah.
