Martin Polychronis
June 11, 1952 – May 20, 2017
Marty died peacefully with his family by his side on Saturday, May 20.
He was a beloved husband, son, brother, father and, his most proud achievement, a grandfather.
Marty was born in the Park City Miner's hospital on June 11, 1952. He met the love of his life, Pamela, at a very young age while they were both still in high school. They were married on Jan. 5, 1972, and have been happily married for 45 years.
They were blessed with both a daughter and a son.
Marty lived out his life in his beloved hometown of Park City. He had a passion for the outdoors. From skiing and snowmobiling in the mountains to boating and water sports in Lake Powell, Utah was the perfect place for him to call him home.
Anyone who knew Marty knew that he had a special place in his heart for animals, particularly his dogs. He had a special kind of love, understanding and bond with all of them and we know that right now there's nowhere he'd rather be than the rainbow bridge.
Marty is preceded in death by his mother, Beverly, and is survived by wife Pam, father Charlie, brother Rodger, daughter Stacey, son Nicholas, granddaughter Elena, grandson Harrison and, of course, his dog, Jasmine.
A Celebration of Marty's life will be held Friday, May 26, from 1-3 p.m. at The Jeremy Ranch Clubhouse. In lieu of flowers, the family suggests a donation to your favorite Utah animal rescue organization, such as Nuzzles & Co. or Best Friends Animal Sanctuary.
