Marian Fern Larison Gines of Citrus City, AZ, went home to be with her heavenly Father on Nov. 30, 2017. She was born to Wilbur D Larison and Marie Holloway Larison on July 19, 1928 in Bedford, Iowa. The family moved to the Magic Valley before she was a year old and ultimately graduated from Twin Falls High School. Marian fell in love with her soulmate, Evan Gines and they married in 1954. Together they raised four boys, Dan, John, Steven and Wayne. In 1990 they were able to reconnect with Evan's daughter, Glenna. Evan and Marian moved to Arizona after the boys left home. They owned a construction business, while Marian worked as a teacher's aide for Mohawk School District 1973-1989). After they retired they travelled the world and shared wonderful memories until she made her final journey.
Marian was proceeded in death by her mother, Marie Holloway Larison, and father, Wilbur D. Larison; brother, George W. Larison and brother-in-law, Al Benkula.
She leaves behind sons, Dan (Diane) Gines of Monument, Colorado; John (Lisa) Gines of Meridian, Idaho; Steven (Jane) Gines of Outlook, Washington; Wayne (Teresa) Gines of Delta, Colorado; daughter Glenna (Tony) Matela of Brockport, NY; sister, Donna Benkula of Twin Falls, Idaho; 15 grandchildren and 33 great-grandchildren as well as numerous nieces, nephews, cousins and friends worldwide. She will be missed.
Visitation will be at 10:00 a.m. with a service immediately following, on Saturday, December 9, 2017, at the LDS Church, 4219 S 2800 E, Woodland, Utah 84036.
