Margie B. Clyde
“Her children rise up and call her blessed.”
Mom was our hero and our Queen. She taught us to be charitable, patient, hard-working, and above all, to give service to others. Our sweet Mother, Sister, Grandmother, and Friend, Margie B. Clyde, passed away on September 25, 2017. She was surrounded by her loving family when she was joyously reunited with her adoring husband. She was an amazing example of faith, grace, and dignity throughout her life, as well as in her final battle with cancer. Margie was a devoted member of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints and loved her Savior.
Margie B. was born in Park City, Utah to Reeves A. Bird and Birdie Mae Sweat on September 18, 1934. She married Calvin M. Clyde and they were blessed with seven children whom they raised in their beloved Heber Valley. The Calvin and Margie Clyde family are very well known in Wasatch County as a family who loves camping, rodeos, hunting, and joking, and who values being together most of all. The family is overjoyed that Mom and Dad are together again.
Margie is survived by her children: Robert “Ollie” (Carolyn) Clyde; Calvin “Daff” (Jana) Clyde; Lois (Jeff) Ivers; Willis (Lynette) Clyde; Alex (Angie) Clyde; Becky Clyde; and Jeanie (Rich) Brierley. She is also survived by her siblings Tom Bird, Bob Bird, and Judy Mair. Calvin and Margie shared 22 grandchildren and 19 great grandchildren. She is preceded in death by her husband, parents, two sisters, three brothers and two grandsons.
You may pay your respects to Margie and her family at a viewing to be held Thursday, September 28 from 6:00 pm to 8:00 pm. There will be an additional viewing on September 29 from 11:00 am to 12:30 pm. A funeral celebrating Margie’s life will be held on Friday, September 29 at 1:00 pm. All services will be held at the Heber North Stake Center, 521 East 500 North, Heber City, Utah. Internment will follow at the Heber City Cemetery.
