Margaret Lucille Kohler Hyde, beloved wife, mother, grandmother, sister, aunt, and friend passed away on July 14, 2016.
She was born to Albert and Elsie Kohler on September 24, 1938, in Midway, Utah. She attended local schools and graduated from Brigham Young University with a degree in Elementary Education. She taught in California, New Jersey, and Arizona, and was especially gifted with inspiring children to love music. Margaret married William Thomas Hyde of Logan, Utah, on August 14, 1961, in the Salt Lake Temple. She is the adoring mother of three children, Alan (Kathy) Hyde, Dianne (David) Howard, and Scott (Audrey) Hyde. She cherished her thirteen grandchildren! She typically went out of her way to help or visit someone who needed her smile, warmth, and encouragement. Margaret polished many talents and shared them generously. She was an accomplished pianist, organist, and accompanist. She sang in many vocal groups. She was an avid and accomplished photographer and captured many beautiful places with her husband, Bill. She sewed beautifully and was talented in embroidering, crocheting, and knitting. Most of all Margaret loved people, especially her large extended family, with whom she spent countless hours. Her love was also evident in her genealogical work; she devoted many hours to family history and temple work. Margaret is preceded in death by her parents; son Alan Hyde; sisters, Glenna Kohler, Marion Yost, Eloise Robins, Kathleen Lindsay, and Anna Lynn Howell; and brothers, Melvin Kohler, Roy Kohler, and Alvah Kohler. Her sisters Barbara Christensen, Zelda Isaksen, and Elizabeth Ritchie; brother Dick Circuit; and numerous nieces and nephews and friends survive her and miss her. Margaret's funeral was held in Yuma, Arizona, on July 21, 2016. A funeral will also be held in Midway at the Midway 2nd Ward (Center Street and 11th South) on July 30, 2016 at 11 AM, with a viewing preceding the service from 9:30 to 10:30 AM. She will be interred in the Midway Cemetery located at 600 West 500 South, Midway, Utah. Condolences may be shared online at
