Maevon Mahoney Conquer, age 91, passed away peacefully on June 19, 2018, in Mesa, Arizona.
She was born March 22, 1927, in Center Creek, Utah, to Rodney Mahoney and Emeline Sweat Mahoney. She grew up in the Heber Valley and graduated from Wasatch High School. She had many happy memories of living in beautiful Heber Valley. Maevon also lived in California for much of her adult life. Later, she moved to Mesa, Arizona, and spent many years traveling throughout the United States in her motorhome with her beloved husband of 38 years, Robert E Conquer, who she was sealed to in the Hawaiian Temple of The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints. He preceded her in death in 2003.
Maevon is survived by her daughters Dixie (Lynn) Tawzer, Cindy (Lee) Dove, both of Mesa, Arizona; Catherine (Bruce) Layman of Spokane, Washington, and son Kasey (Denise) Cummings, of Mesa, Arizona; as well as her sisters Donna Mahoney, of Salt Lake City, and Shirley Lythgoe, of Center Creek. Maevon had 14 grandchildren and 27 great-grandchildren and one great-great-grandchild.
Funeral services were held in Mesa, Arizona, on Monday, June 19. A graveside service will be Saturday, June 30, at noon, at the Heber City Cemetery.
