Madge Campbell Perkins

Madge Campbell Perkins, passed away on January 8, 2025, in Sandy, Utah. She was born on December 12, 1932, in Heber City, Utah to Thomas Milton and LaRue York Campbell. She married Paul Duane Perkins on October 11, 1952. They were later sealed in the Salt Lake Temple on June 25, 1971.

A lover of nature Madge enjoyed gardening, time in the mountains, and wildlife. She also liked crafting, sewing, reading, and was a Utah Jazz fan.

She played in the Uintah High School marching band, and other bands, serving as drum majorette her junior year.

She worked as a dental assistant and had many other jobs. She served in various civic organizations as well as in the Primary, Mutual, and Relief Society of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints. Madge loved children and with her family delighted in being a foster family for 100 children over 7 1/2 years, most of them newborns. Having her family around brought her great joy.

Surviving Madge are her daughter, Jan (Tom) Holt; grandchildren: Thomas (Kristy) Holt, Scott (Sarah) Holt, Sara (Nate) Dalebout, and Tiffany (Nick) Catona; great-grandchildren: Andur, Mara, Ben, Ian, and Seth Holt; Skye, Campbell and Jackson Holt; Gabe, Brynn, Natalie, and Aaron Dalebout; Kacie, Mischel, and Davney Catona; brother, Jerry (Marsha) Campbell; and many nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by her husband, Paul; daughter, Julie; and sons, Michael and Jeffrey.

Services will be held at 11:00 AM on Thursday January 16, 2025, at the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints, 9119 South 1300 East, Sandy, Utah. A viewing will be held at the church from 9:30 AM until 10:30 AM. Interment will be at 2:00 PM in the Heber City Cemetery

In lieu of flowers Madge requested that contributions be made to Operation Smile, Children's Home Society of Minnesota, or American Cancer Research Center. Thank you.
