Lloyd Provost
Born April 25, 1935 in Park City, Utah to Cloid and LaVilda Provost. He was the 6th of 10 children. He grew up in Midway, Utah, graduated from Wasatch High School. Married Lavon Witt in the Salt Lake Temple in 1955.
They are the parents of 5 children and one foster daughter. He retired from Geneva Steel after 31 years. He also worked as Water Master and as a projectionist in the movie theaters. Lloyd served on the Heber City Council and volunteered in the Wasatch County Search and Rescue for many years.
He served faithfully in many church callings including Bishop of Heber 3rd Ward. He loved fishing, hunting and spending time with his family, especially his Grandchildren. He loved to watch the deer in his beautiful yard that he took great pride in.
He was always quick with a smile and had a witty sense of humor. He was always willing to serve others.
Lloyd passed away peacefully on September 22, 2020 of natural causes at the age of 85, on their 65th wedding anniversary.
Survived by his sister Shirley (Wayne) Ivie, wife Lavon and children: Larry (Patty) Provost, Becky (Jay) Price, Mark (Marce) Provost, Maria (Grant) Pearson, John (Paula) Provost, Yvette (Rick) Andreason, 42 Grandchildren and 42 Great Grandchildren. He was greatly loved by all those who knew him.
Funeral Services will be held Saturday, September 26th at 2:00 pm in the Heber Stake Center 150 North 200 West, Heber City, Utah. There will be a visitation prior to services from 12:30 – 1:30. Interment will follow in the Heber City Cemetery.
