Linda Holmes Naylor, age 78, passed away peacefully while surrounded by loved ones in the early hours of May 28, 2025. She was the beloved daughter of LaVon and Kenneth Holmes, born August 1, 1946 in Salt Lake City, Utah. She married the love of her life, William James Naylor on June 23, 1962 in Provo Utah and sealed in the Salt Lake City Temple on September 6, 1963.
Linda was an amazing wife, wonderful mother and a tremendous grandma. An avid baker, skilled sewer and homemaker, who had a great love for all things crafty and decorative. She made a meaningful impact on those within her family, community and church. After raising her children, she and her husband served on an LDS mission in Omaha, Nebraska and traveled to rebuild the Apia Samoa and Fiji temples. With a lasting influence on all those she came across, she will be missed by all who knew her.
Linda is survived by her loving husband, William Naylor; seven of her children: Cindy (Rick) Smith, Brian (Debbie) Naylor, Troy (Suzy) Naylor, Trisha Farmer, Mike( Diana) Naylor, Tim (Jamie) Naylor, and Jon Naylor; as well as 27 grandchildren and 35 great-grandchildren. She was preceded in death by her son, Mark Naylor and parents LaVon and Kenneth Holmes.
A funeral service will be held at 12:00 noon on June 6, 2025 at the Midway West Stake Center, 165 N Center St. Midway, Utah. A viewing will be held at the Stake Center from 10:00 AM until 11:30 AM. Interment will follow in Midway City Cemetery.
