Linda Jean Kohler Densley, of Midway, passed away peacefully in her home Thursday, October 3, 2024, at the age of 75.
Linda is the daughter of Earl J Kohler and Dawna Marie (Fraughton) Kohler. Born in Heber City, Utah, on June 12, 1949, Linda grew up in Midway with her two older brothers Bryan and Jim (James). Linda attended Wasatch High School where she was very involved as a cheerleader, band member, student council member, and an honor student.
After graduating in 1967, Linda attended Brigham Young University before marrying David Densley in 1968. The two were married for more than 25 years and had seven children together before going their separate ways.
Linda’s world revolved around her children and family. She rarely missed a soccer game, dance performance, school or church program or any other event featuring the talents and participation of her children or grandchildren. She loved to create and was talented at sewing, crafting, and baking.
Linda was considered to be a member of another family at The Homestead where she worked for nearly 40 years. After beginning as a server, she moved into the sales office where she became Director of Sales and would later be Reservations Manager.
In 2006, Linda followed her dreams of opening a bakery and began her own business. Fresh Bakery allowed her to share her talent and passion of baking delicious foods with the community. Following struggles with her health, she moved her baking operation in-house and went back to work at The Homestead.
Linda was a dedicated member of The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-Day Saints. She served in many church callings going above and beyond with her handouts which usually included a quote or poem and some sort of treat. She served for a couple of years as a temple worker traveling down the canyon until she was unable to walk due to her brain tumor.
Linda is survived by her children Gentry (Candice), Aubrey (Ben), Niki, Sommer (Beau), Zachary, Tyler, and Lexi (John); her brother James (Shirley) Kohler, and sister-in-law Susan Kohler as well as ten grandchildren and several nieces and nephews. She is preceded in death by her parents Earl and Marie Kohler, and her brother Bryan.
