Layne Binggeli, age 61, passed away at IMC, Salt Lake City, surrounded by his family.
Layne was born on December 10, 1959, In Heber City, Utah to Joe and Joan Binggeli. Layne spent his childhood on a small farm in Center Creek and he loved outdoor adventures as well as the farm animals. He had a natural ability for all sports and loved playing little league baseball early in his youth. He played football for Wasatch High school and graduated in 1978. After his father’s untimely death in 1981, Layne had the determination and vision to successfully lead and grow Binggeli Rock Products. He married Lynette Buell Binggeli on February 10, 1984, and they later divorced.
Layne loved to swim, fish, hunt, cook, and the freedom of his Harley Davidson motorcycle. Whoever was lucky enough to spend time with Layne on the water at Lake Powell will never forget the magic and fun he so willingly shared. He was a devoted father and cherished the time he spent with his two sons.
He is survived by his two sons, Lathan Layne Binggeli and Logan J. (Hanna) Binggeli, his mother, Joan Binggeli, and his siblings, Bonnie Wilson, Deanna Binggeli, Lora (Ed) Pederson, Loretta (Craig) Broussard, and Jason (Joanna) Binggeli.
At the family’s request, a private graveside will be held at the Heber City Cemetery.
