Lamar Frank Hadley

July 15, 1944 — February 28, 2016

Lamar Frank Hadley 71, died February 28, 2016 at his home in Heber City, Utah. Lamar was born July 15, 1944 in Salt Lake City, Utah to Bernice and Charles Henry Hadley. He was the youngest of five children. He was an imposing man whose stature was matched in equal parts with great honesty, generosity and an unexpectedly gentle nature. He married Barbara Jones they later divorced. He married Connie Kendall the love of his life. Together they shared eight beautiful children, Steven, Bethany, David, Jackie, James, Laie, Lesa, Craig and 18 beloved grandchildren, 4 great grandchildren. He was an active member of the Church Of Jesus Christ Of Latter Day Saints where he served as a High Priest and was known as the candyman with all the youth. Lamar spent his life in Salt Lake working in the freight business first at IML and then at Consolidated Freightways. He was a member of the Teamsters Union for most of his career. Later in life he retired to Heber where he found joy in the beauty and peace of the mountains. The family would like to thank all of his caregivers at Huntsman Cancer Institute, Intermountain Medical and Hospice for their kindness and support. In lieu of flowers, the family asks donations be made in the name of Lamar Hadley to Huntsman Cancer Institute. Lamar’s funeral service will be held Saturday, March 5 at 11:00 am at the Lake Creek 2nd Ward, 6250 East 1200 South, Heber City, UT
