Keith W. Mendenhall passed away suddenly due to a skateboarding accident on June 7th.
Keith was born on October 19, 1986, in Providence RI. He lived there for 10 years before moving to Camphill, PA where he attended Cedar Cliff High School. He was active in soccer, baseball, and swimming and fell in love with skiing at the local ski mountain in Pennsylvania. In his sophomore year of high school he moved to Naperville, Illinois, where he attended to Neuqua Valley High School. After graduating from Neuqua in 2005 he attended the Iowa State University. In 2010, he pursued his dream of living in Park City, Utah.
In Park City, Keith worked at Deer Valley for two seasons. He became a bartender at O’Shucks on Main Street where he quickly became a fixture in the community and main street life. His ability to connect with people allowed him to provide insight and support to many of Park City residents and visitors.
While living in Park City he enjoyed the activities he loved, skiing, biking, camping and hiking. He loved nature and the camaraderie of Park City living.
Keith passed doing what he loved.
His parents, David and Linda Mendenhall, his sister, Lindsay Mendenhall Fraine and her husband, Francis, survive him.
Memorial services will be held on Jupiter Summit, Thursday June 18th at 4:30 pm in Park City.
Keith’s final act of kindness was to give the gift of life through organ and tissue donation. In lieu of flowers, please make donations to the Alzheimer’s Association in honor of his Grandmother, Lois Mendenhall.
