Kathryn Hiatt, treasured mother, sister, wife, grandmother, great-grandmother, and friend passed away peacefully at Valencia Memory Care on December 27th, 2024, in Cottonwood Heights, Utah. Born September 26th, 1942, to Delbert T. and Sylvia Neilson Coleman. Kathryn was the fifth of seven children and had a childhood full of many adventures with her family and friends.
Kathryn graduated from Wasatch High School and went on to marry her high school sweetheart, M. Ronald Hiatt. The couple moved to Salt Lake City, where Kathryn worked at a local bank while her husband pursued his pharmacy degree at the University of Utah. Together, they built a life full of love, dedication, and shared dreams.
She was welcomed into heaven by her parents; brothers: William, Keith, Joe and Tom Coleman; sister Mary (Sherm) Milliner; sister-in-law Mary Jo Coleman; and husband M. Ronald Hiatt. Kathryn is lovingly survived by her son, Tim (Tammy) Hiatt; daughters Marci Hiatt, Amy (Paul) Tangren; 7 grandchildren and 14 great-grandchildren; sister Shirley (Ed) Trimble; sister-in-laws, Bonnie Coleman, Joyce Coleman, and Leila Coleman.
The family will hold a visitation and service in honor of Kathryn Thursday, January 2nd, 2025, at 9:30a.m. in the Heber 9th Ward Chapel, 325 E. 500 N, Heber City, Utah. The service will begin at 11:00am., followed by her being laid to rest at the Heber City Cemetery.
