Kara Lynne Farr was born February 20, 1941 and died September 23,
2020 at age 79 after a long battle with Dementia.
She was born in Junction, Utah to Richard Lynn and Daphne
Sprauge Robinson as the second of four children. Growing up she loved to
take classes at her mother's dance studios, and began teaching her own
classes there at age 12. Kara Lynne also loved riding horses with her
father, and playing the trumpet in her school band. She was a member of
her high school cheerleading team, the “Peppers”. She and her future
husband Bill were voted the best couple for their schools yearbook. In
1959 she graduated from White Pine High School in Ely, Nevada.
On June 9, 1961 she married her high school sweetheart, Glenn
William Farr “Bill”, in the Manti temple. Together they raised three sons.
Through her life, she established four successful dance studios in Ely
(NV), Parowan (UT), Cedar City, and Heber, where she taught young
children much more than dance. She instilled confidence, hard work,
sportsmanship, and love. In 1974 she became the advisor to the Wasatch
High School Waspettes drill team, turning them into regional, state, national
and international award winners. During her 25+ years working with this
team, they traveled to Los Angeles, Orlanda, Mexico, Hawaii, and twice to
international competitions in Japan, and once in Hong Kong. She held
positions in the Utah High School Activities Dance/Drill Association, being
president, vice president, secretary and chairman. In 1998, she was
recognized for her contribution to Utah Drill Teams. She ran “Let’s Dance”
summer camps, and was a guest choreographer around the state.
Kara Lynne is remembered for her gift of significance - nobody in her
presence didn’t feel loved. She exemplified how to love as the Savior did,
and diligently served those around her. She loved her family, and in her
older years adored caring for her grandchildren, and being an involved
grandmother. She taught her children the gospel, and was a gentle
example.
Kara Lynne was greeted on the other side by her son, Brett, her
parents(Lynn and Daphne Sprague Robinson), and many more loved ones.
She is survived by her beloved Husband Bill Farr. Also, her 3 siblings -
Sandra Eldredge, Anne Wright, and Jeff Robinson, her sons Derek and
Brady, their wives Lori and Victoria, and her nine grandchildren - Darby,
Keelie, Trace, Ramzie, Brynlie, Cambria, Kortlen, Willson, and Maxwell.
