Justin Emanuel Luke, 28, passed away on February 4th, 2020. Justin was born on April 24, 1991 in Heber City, UT to Brent Charles Luke and Gina Marie Luke-Throndson. Justin will be missed by his three beautiful children, James Emanuel Luke (10), Zoey Leila Luke (7), and Oliver Charles Luke (4), who he absolutely loved and adored. Justin loved the outdoors. Some of the activities he enjoyed were hunting, fishing, camping, skateboarding, snowboarding, and skiing. All these activities were most enjoyed with his children and family. Justin had a passion for music, whether it was playing the guitar, piano, or just listening to his favorite songs. Justin truly will be missed by all who knew him. Whether he was joking with you or encouraging you to be the best version of yourself. He had a lasting impression on anyone he met. He had a kind and generous heart, as his kids would say “he had 100 smiles for every person and three of his favorite things are his kids, family, and the color green.”
After attending Wasatch High School, Justin went to school to become a Pharmaceutical Tech where he worked in that field for a few years. Later, he went back to college to get his Associates Degree in accounting. He then went on to be a vacation property manager. Justin enjoyed the work he did.
On July 5th, 2019, Justin was in a horrific motorcycle accident in Provo Canyon. He suffered a broken back with a spinal injury, fractured eye socket, cheek bone, nose, jaw, broken ribs, and a severe head injury. Due to the spinal cord injury, Justin was paralyzed from the waist down. Justin was in the ICU for two weeks and then recovered in acute patient rehab for another four weeks. Once Justin was released from the hospital, the hard work began. Justin was dedicated with his therapy and doctor appointments. Justin was positive with his therapy progress and loved the pool, feeling free and helping with the pain. Justin’s goals were to walk and play with his kids. However, he said “if I don’t ever walk again, I will live an awesome life.” Unfortunately, Justin’s injuries were more than he could bare, the pain and debilitation were unmanageable.
Justin is survived by his three children, James, Zoey, Oliver, father Brent Luke (Rhonda), mother Gina Luke-Throndson (Allen) sister Michelle Slager (Dave, Mason, Myles), brother Brent “Hap” Luke (Camille, Caden, Hadlie), sister Heather Luke, sister Amelia Pays, grandfather Emanuel A Floor “Papu”, step siblings; Tate, Trevor, Tyler, Todd, Tasha, Kylie, Cody, their spouses, children, and many aunts, uncles, and cousins.
