Judy H Davis

March 8, 1942 — June 29, 2024

Judy passed away on June 29, 2024, in Mesa, Maricopa County, Arizona at age 82.  She was born March 8, 1942 in Ogden, Weber County, Utah to John Hoxer III and Marzella Tyree.

Judy lived in a loving home with her three brothers. She attended Polk Elementary, Central Jr High, and Ogden High School. She was a member of the High Drill Team in high school.

Judy attended Weber College where she met Bob while working at the Paramount Theatre. They were married on June 20, 1962 and were happily together for over 60 years until Bob’s passing in October 2022.

Judy always wanted to be a mother and was thrilled to welcome her children Brian and Greg while living in Eugene, Oregon. She and Bob added three more children with Heather, Eric, and Bobbi Jo joining the family while living in Raleigh, North Carolina before moving to Charlotte, North Carolina. The family then moved to Westchester, New York and created lifelong friendships with members of the community.

While in New York, Judy worked with PepsiCo for several years and developed a close friendship with Jan Calloway and Wayne Calloway who was CEO until his death. This started a lifelong love of all things Pepsi.

After Bob retired from IBM, they moved to Midway, Utah to build their dream home in the mountains. They also started working at Deer Valley Ski Resort and loved the ski/work balance. Eventually they traded the cold winters of Utah for the hot summers of Arizona to finish their time on this earth. They loved their new friends in Arizona and built strong connections in a short time.

Judy loved serving in her church and had many different assignments. She often worked with the Young Women’s organization in the places she lived and dearly loved the girls in the Raleigh, New York, and Midway areas. She continued to serve in church callings until last month and built fond friendships with several young girls aged 8-11 in her current church congregation.

Judy loved doing genealogy and collecting stories of her ancestors. She also loved parenting with Bob, cooking for her family, solving puzzles with her grandchildren, and sharing her faith.

Judy was a wonderful mother, grandmother and great-grandmother. She will be remembered for her unwavering faith and devotion to both her family and the gospel of Jesus Christ which together brought her so much joy.

Judy is survived by her three brothers John (Mary), Rick (Cindy), and Dave (Becky), as well as her children, Brian (Minji), Greg (Demi), Heather (Jeff), Eric (Jennifer), Bobbi Jo, 18 grandchildren, and 3 great-grandchildren.

Funeral will be held at the Church of Jesus Christ, 165 N Center Street, Midway, Utah, at 2:00 PM on July 13, 2024.  Burial in Midway Cemetery.
