Joyce Lucile Hanna Wickern
Joyce Wickern passed away on Friday, September 4, 2020 and returned to her Heavenly Father.
She was born on October 15, 1931 in Los Angeles, California to Curtis and Gerita Hanna. She has two sisters: Jeanne Garvin and Katie Lutz, who reside in San Diego, CA. and one brother, Bob Hanna (deceased) who resided in Gold River, CA.
Joyce graduated from USC with a Bachelor of Arts degree and was a member of the Kappa Alpha Theta Sorority.
She had many interests in life that included travel, swimming, dancing and constant learning. She was a member of a couple synchronized swim teams in both high school and college. She loved swimming in the ocean and being on the beach. She took various musical instrument lessons but decided she preferred listening to and dancing to music instead. She loved studying religion and following politics. Though she loved all these things, her family, her cat Treenie and the gospel of Jesus Christ were the most important things to her. She is a member of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter Day Saints and leaves behind quite a legacy.
She married her sweetheart Robert Wickern in 1955 in San Diego, CA. and later they were sealed in the Los Angeles Temple.
Together they had four children: Greg (Dianna), Tami (deceased)(Dave, deceased) Hansen, Jeanie (Michael) Kutcher and Kristi (Dave) Winn. She also has 15 grandchildren and 30 great-grandchildren with one on the way.
Joyce will be laid to rest in the Heber City Cemetery in Heber City, Utah next to her dear husband Bob.
