Joyce Mcphie Stewart

Joyce McPhie Stewart, 94, passed away on September 17, 2024. She was born on July 3, 1930, in Heber City, Utah to Lindsay Angus and Elva May (Webster) McPhie. She attended Wasatch High School and graduated with the class of 1948.

She married Vaughn Pace Wootton and had six children, all boys. Greg born 1949, Scott born 1951, Kim born 1954, Jeff born 1955, Chris born 1959 and Brent born 1962. They were later divorced. She married Pete Coleman and added a stepdaughter, Susan Coleman, to her family. After Pete passed away, she married Isaac “Ike” Mitton Stewart Jr. in 1995. They were later sealed in the Timpanogos Temple.

She is preceded in death by her husband, Ike, parents, one brother, Melvin Doyle McPhie and one daughter in law, Denise Walker Wootton.

She is survived by her six children, Gregory Vaughn Wootton (Rebecca), Scott Douglas Wootton, Kim L Wootton (Susan), Jeffrey McPhie Wootton (Teresa), Christian Webster Wootton (Sherry) and Brent Dale Wootton (Mary). One sister, Mary Christena McPhie Lowe (Ed). One stepdaughter, Susan Coleman.

The family would also like to express a very special thanks to the care givers, nurses and staff at the Heber Valley Assisted Living for their kind and compassionate care of our mom.

ln keeping with Joyce's wishes there will be a graveside service at 2:30 P.M. on Monday, September 30, 2024, at the Midway City Cemetery for immediate family. The burial is under the direction of Probst Family Funeral Home.
